Gabriel Boudier Rare London Dry Gin 37.5% ABV

GABRIEL BOUDIER, DIJON, FRANCE

Classic

Makes for a nice Gin and Tonic, and is much more traditional than the Saffron offering (here). Warming spices with some bright intimations of fennel complement pine-forward juniper with a hint of citrus backing. It has some spice notes, but the overall profile is purely classic.

Gabriel Boudier Saffron Gin 40% ABV

Contemporary, Flavoured

Vividly coloured, the liquid inside immediately calls to mind the world’s most expensive spice: saffron. The saffron is infused post-distillation to give it that distinctive colour. A strikingly traditional nose, with aromas of juniper, coriander and only the faintest hint of saffron. The palate delivers the promise of its colour, but does so with a smooth, sophisticated profile that lingers warmly on the palate. Quite nice on its own, or with tonic or soda.
